The Man, The Myth, The Menace

Meet the mind behind the paintbrush and the man behind the trash. My name’s Atticus. I’ve been making art since I can remember, and likely then some according to my mother’s stories. I enjoy finding purpose in the old and worn out, or the seemingly unnecessary. If it catches my eye, I toss it in a drawer along with similar items until I come up with some way to make it new. The sheer amount of sh!t I’ve hoarded over the years is not unlike a dragon’s treasure trove.

What I’m getting at is I love making art out of garbage. Where you see soda cans, I see sequins. Where you see cardboard, I see canvas. Where you see trash, I see treasure. You get the idea.

I first started making earrings sometime in 2019 for my personal collection, then in 2021 I tried painting pride flags on wine corks and it all spiraled from there. I specialize in upcycling more disposable items, but every now and again I’ll repurpose odds and ends I’ve gathered over the years like game pieces or playing cards.

The Man, The Myth, The Monster

Now for everybody’s favorite creature, the Lost Boy of Central PA, Peter Pansy! This guy is just your average everyday comic book villain and queer heartthrob. He’s been known to cause category 7 levels of bi panic with his masculine charm, androgynous flare, and feminine thighs. With four hours in the makeup chair? He better.

His first taste of drag was October of 2019, his senior year of college, where he pursued a degree in theatre, as well as a double minor in studio art and dance. Alongside acting, he specialized in makeup design and Shakespeare. His favorite play to perform in was Twelfth Night as Viola, surprising no one.

This cryptid is happy to travel and meet new faces in the community, so consider reaching out to him for your next event. Don’t host drag shows, but still want to see this guy in your area? Be sure to let your local performers know! Remember: BOOK DRAG KINGS
